Hi there.  You may notice that, unusually, our main picture is not of a building.  That's not because we are not proud of our church building (or because it is falling down around our ears!!!)  In fact we worship in two beautifully modernised buildings which lend themselves well to all forms of worship - both traditional and more contemporary.  If you do want to see photos of the Methodist  Church building, please visit our 'Photos' page.  For more details about the renovation, click here.

The reason that our main picture is that of a cross is because that is how we define ourselves - not as a building or as part of a denomination but as a group of people who worship Christ.  Therefore all are welcome - regardless of background. 

 We work together closely with the URC Church in Dalton, sharing in worship together.  From the beginning of March 2011 we have been joining together every week to become one worshipping congregation - we meet alternate weeks at each venue (one week at Wellington Street, the next at Market Street).  Also, from the beginning of September 2010, we have been working as a United Area which is a very exciting development.  Our minister, Ron, is officially an ordained URC minister.

See our 'Services and Events' page which lists just that - the regular Church events that take place during the week and our service times.  There is also a 'Special Events' page where anyone can list one off events that will take place either in Dalton Methodist or URC Church, in any of the other Churches in our town, in our United Area and any events at a district level.
